I find I'm a lot happier when I'm aware of how heaven will be much better than life here on this earth. In the Bible we're not given a huge amount of extremely detailed descriptions of what heaven will be like. Or even of how good it will be.
But it seems clear to me that it can't be "heaven" if mostly what we do there is pine for all the earthly things we wish we could be doing. Either things we miss from life on Earth — or things that we missed out on doing during our lives on Earth, but badly wanted to do.
So that must mean that Heaven will be better than those things, or, as an absolute minimum, at least as good as them. And that it will be good enough to include making up for all the things we wanted to do here on Earth, but didn't — for whatever reasons, perhaps illness, or perhaps even just problems caused by our own mismanagement of our lives.
