Losing Weight
My adult weight has varied over a 46 kilogram (that's 101 pounds) range. From a low of 71 kg in 2005, when I looked like a skeleton, and couldn't put on weight no matter how much I ate, to a high of 117 kg when I looked a little on the tubby side.
One benefit of losing weight is fitting into new clothes, or — even better — your old clothes that you used to fit into. Many people (myself included) tend to put less effort into fashion when they think their weight gains, which require them to buy new clothes to fit into, are only going to be temporary. So when that happens — and then you do actually lose the excess weight, you get a whole wardrobe of cool clothes back, for free.
