Slow and Steady Wins the Race
Progress is a slow and steady thing. You can't cram fitness into two weeks like some people cram before before an exam. Spiritual growth is similar.
The good thing is that, unless you have a specific medical condition (and sometimes even if you do), if you keep making slow, constant, small, regular steps — you will definitely improve. And become more fit and healthy, both physically and spiritually.
I find that this image helps me a lot to not cave in to cravings of junk food. Since I imagine myself moving gradually from one side of the picture, to the other — with the direction depending on how well I'm going with proper eating and exercising.
